COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE HISTORY

In the 17th century, scientists are trying to make the first machines that could automate some operations
particularly emphasized by Blase Pascal and Leibnitz W. G.
Some of their principles are still used today (example Countdown kilometers driven in a car)
About 1830. Mr. Charles Babbage, with assistance from the British Government has achieved considerable success
He tried to make a machine for calculating the difference (engl. Difference Engine) and analytical machine (engl. analytic engine). Machines were never completed.
The analytical machine is particularly important because it is designed in a way that today's computers are used.
He had parts FOLLOWING:

input
output unit
memory (remembered)
processor
governance unit

About 1890. Mr. Herman Hollerith made a machine that worked on the principle of aperture cards. He is considered the father of electromechanical data processing.
This machine uses the census in the U.S. which shortens from four years to six weeks!
Achieved huge commercial success, the business world is interested in this machine.
Hollerith (along with several other companies) 1924th founded the company IBM.

Telepatic computers

Telepathic computer would be able to read your thoughts
The idea was developed by John Underkoffler, a scientific adviser for science fiction movie Minority Report, and continued to study after in 2002. Steven Spielberg finished filming. He argues that the period of 25 years after the invention of the Macintosh, which significantly changed access to a computer, the operating system changed very little. Although the software and web applications significantly improved way of interacting with a computer was the same.

Toshiba 3D

"Toshiba" has long been a leader in the manufacture of portable computers and more middle class. Though the competition is somewhat overtaken in recent years, Qosmio F750-10M pretend that this manufacturer's return to the old paths of glory. This is not the first portable computer is capable to reproduce the 3D image, but it is completely innovative in the way it works, does not require 3D glasses to view 3D images, but it can be viewed as a classic straight facilities.

XP loosing competition

According to data collected by NetApplications, after a short time in January increased the proportion between the operating systems for desktop personal computers to 47% of Windows XP in February dropped to 45%, but still the dominant operating system. The second is Windows 7, whose share increased from 36 to 38%, and the third is Vista, whose share fell to 8%. All versions of MacOS X on PCs together hold approximately 6% of the market. Although it is still a leading share of Windows XP, however, constantly decreasing, which greatly encouraged and I am pointing out that Microsoft will support the operating system to be abolished in April 2014. Specifically, a year ago, Windows 7 had a 24% share, while the share of Windows XP was 57%.

Children and computers

The use of computers in children, regardless of what some parents thought about it, can not be completely avoided. Not only are computers entered in every pore of life, but almost every household in USA owns a computer. Children are surrounded by technology and computers. Preschool children should use the computer for short periods, 10 to 20 minutes a day. Long periods in front of the screen steals playing time and other more valuable activities. In this age may serve to improve the social and language skills, learning new words and rules of behavior, to foster creativity and cognitive skills to solve problems.
